Healing to You is proud to share exciting news: Cari Teran, M.S., LMFT, our Founding Director, President, and CEO, has been appointed to the Los Angeles County Sexual Assault Council (LAC SAC) for the 2025–2027 term.

This prestigious appointment reflects not only Cari’s decades-long leadership in trauma-informed care, but also a deep commitment to advancing survivor-centered solutions at the policy level. The Council brings together a powerful coalition of professionals dedicated to addressing sexual violence through coordinated systems, advocacy, and care. Cari’s voice—and the voices of the communities she champions—now have a seat at that table.

Full primary care and mental health services are anticipated to open in December at the Wilmington Comprehensive Community Clinic. ➡️Reality: One out of every three women will be abused at some point in her life.
Battering is the single major cause of injury to women, exceeding rapes, muggings
and auto accidents combined. A woman is more likely to be killed by a male partner (or former partner) than any other person. About 4,000 women die each year due to domestic violence.
