For patients on their mental health journey, a visit from a therapy animal can be a real game-changer. The gentle nuzzles or calming presence can be like, 'Hey, anxiety, depression, and loneliness, take a hike!' The simple act of petting an animal can lower stress hormones, reduce blood pressure, and release mood-elevating hormones like oxytocin. It's a moment of pure, non-judgmental connection that can open the door to healing... and let's be real, who doesn't love a good cuddle session? 😂 We're proud to incorporate Deb & Sheena from Paws and Think for animal-assisted therapy to support our patients' well-being.
