Last week in Denver at the 2026 National IV-E Roundtable for Child Welfare Training and Education, Arelis Guillermo and Shauna Goodwin represented Wheeler on a panel titled "Leading Together: Latina Parent-Professional Partnerships in Trauma-Informed Parenting Education."

Their presentation highlighted our collaboration with UConn and the University of Vermont on a randomized control group study of the Breakthrough Parenting Curriculum, a 10-week parenting group designed to reduce the impact of parental trauma across generations and help decrease child welfare involvement.

Thank you to Arelis and Shauna for your passion, commitment, professionalism, and heart!

Four years old! They grow up so fast. Our beloved Mobile Family Health & Wellness Center, Winnie (the Wheelerbago) turned four last week, serving the Bristol and New Britain communities like she does every week, with an amazing team of professionals who care deeply about expanding care to underserved populations who may not otherwise come to our centers. Minnie (Mini Winnie), her younger and smaller counterpart, does the same in Hartford. Thank you to the true team effort that makes it all possible. Learn more about where we'll be at our website:
