Today’s work looks a little like this ➡️

The patient had a wrist open reduction internal fixation and today we were removing the hardware that we put to keep her wrist stable due to the level of the fracture!

This patient came to me with wrist pain she had had for 3 weeks- and I diagnosed her with synovitis fluid in her wrist.

Treatment was a steroid injection to reduce inflammation and reduce her pain!

If you’re having prolonged pain- that’s not normal. Come see me and get back to living life pain free! ✋👨‍⚕️

Before moving to Texas, I spent the last several years in Hawaii, where I still have friends and family. Every Friday is “Aloha Friday” and my team wears Hawaiian shirts with me. It’s a great way to end the week and lead into the weekend with a Hawaii state of mind🌴🌊🌺

Last week was our company picnic, and it was wonderful spending quality time with our stellar Legacy Orthopedics & Sports Medicine team!

We grilled at the lake and enjoyed a great time. I am grateful for this team who works so hard to give our patients the best possible experience 👍

This patient came to me with pain she was experiencing from her shoulder all the way down to her hand. 💢🤚

Upon examining closer, we found out she has tendinitis. 2 common methods to help with tendinitis are injections or hand therapy! This patient is now seeing our hand therapist next door and on the way to having less pain.

Continuous pain like this patient was experiencing is not normal, if you feel like this do not hesitate to reach out for further examination!

This patient has been suffering from arthritis and the pain progressed as he was carrying heavy grocery bags often for his wife!

It was nice to see that he has been a such a gentleman for her, however due to the pain they are looking at grocery delivery as a possibility for the future!

Visiting the the new Village Health Partners Frisco location inside Frisco Medical Village to see Dr. Noyes and Dr. Sheffield!

This facility is just about 1 month old and it looked prestine. Of course I had to get a photo with the Legacy hall sign!

Important reminder: always stay focused and pay attention when using powerful machinery/power tools/ anything with a sharp blade!

This patient suffered an accident when he was building his new house. He was using a saw when he looked away for a second and the saw got a piece of his index finger!

Had the opportunity to visit with the ER physicians at Children’s Medical Center Plano. I was blown away at how outstanding their facilities are!

Pictured here are kite sculptures that move with the wind as well as a red balloon painted on the grass. I was able to tour multiple areas within the center and loved all the attention to detail- just like in this photo.

Had the pleasure of meeting Mark Hokett at Medpost Urgent Care McKinney yesterday!

Mark talked to me about his previous experiences in life including homicide work in Houston. We discussed various emergency procedures and I enjoyed getting to know him.

Went to visit Frisco ER yesterday and the received a wonderful tour of the facility. Frisco ER is only 1 year old and the building was beautiful! The staff was also very generous and welcoming.

Injuries while traveling can be extra stressful, but here at Legacy we make you feel right at home.

This patient was traveling from out of state and fractured his pinky while playing basketball 🏀 !

He was treated as soon as possible and is in good hands with our team.

I recently came back from a wonderful family trip to Hawaii with my family, where I was voted top doctor 2016-2019!

Providing my patients with the best care is what it’s all about! Something unique to my practice is my ability to perform “wide-awake hand surgery,” a surgical approach utilizing local anesthetic without a tourniquet.

Patients are not required to fast the night before surgery or change their medication schedules; they don’t generally experience nausea, vomiting, or other side effects associated with general anesthesia; and they spend less time at the surgery center because the post-operative recovery time is shorter.
