💔 Our hearts are heavy as we witness the devastating flooding in Kerrville and surrounding Hill Country area. The loss of so many lives, including children, and the uncertainty faced by families still waiting for news of their loved ones is beyond heartbreaking.

We extend our deepest sympathy and prayers to every family, friend, and community member affected by this unimaginable tragedy—especially to the young girls and families connected to Camp Mystic struck by this disaster.

At GotKnots Medical Massage, we stand in solidarity with the Kerrville community. May comfort, strength, and hope find their way to all who are grieving or searching in these painful days.

This community of Licensed Massage Therapists is truly something special! 💛 Last May, I attended an AMTA meeting where I had the privilege of hearing guest speaker Renee Houston — the ONLY certified Trauma Touch Therapist in DFW. Her presentation lit a spark in my soul I didn’t even realize was waiting to be ignited. It made me reflect deeply on just how much trauma I witness every day in my professional life.

For a while, I wrestled with how (or even if) to reach out… what to say, what not to say. Fast forward to November/December 2024 — another amazing LMT posted about wanting to learn more about pediatric massage. Renee tagged me in the comments, and that moment of connection prompted me to reach out. A month later, I drove to Denton to meet Renee, and it was immediately clear we were meant to cross paths. From that first conversation, we knew we shared a mission — to bridge gaps, bring awareness, create safe spaces, and shine light and healing into every life we touch.

I am beyond honored to know Renee and so grateful to learn from her. She inspires, encourages, and supports me in ways I can’t fully put into words. Our calls are filled with deep talks, endless laughter, occasional tears, bright ideas, unwavering support, and then even more laughter. 💫

Thank you, Renee, for simply being YOU — a gift, a light, a beautiful soul, a healing force. I can’t wait to see what’s ahead for us! 💕
