Although his exact injury is unknown he commented that he would be on crutches for weeks and and away from the tour for many months to recover. Roger also stated this surgery will leave him with a glimmer of hope that he can return to competition.

84,864 TKA Patient Study: How Risky Is 1-Day Discharge? | Orthopedics This Week

A recent study examined the post operative complication rate of 84,864 total knee arthroplasty (TKA) patients who were discharged rapidly versus a tradtional length of hospital stay. This study found there was no difference in complication rates, and patients with rapid discharge had lower rates of MUA and infection post surgical. Early mobilization and getting patients out of the hospital is not only beneficial from a cost perspective but it can help improve outcomes.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common condition that causes pain, numbness, and tingling in the hand and arm. The condition occurs when one of the major nerves to the hand — the median nerve — is squeezed or compressed as it travels through the wrist. If you are experiencing symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome Dr. Buch has over 25 years experience treating carpal tunnel syndrome.

Symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome may include:

-Numbness, tingling, burning, and pain—primarily in the
thumb and index, middle, and ring fingers.

-Occasional shock-like sensations that radiate to the thumb
and index, middle, and ring fingers.

-Pain or tingling that may travel up the forearm toward the
shoulder.

-Weakness and clumsiness in the hand—this may make it
difficult to perform fine movements such as buttoning your
clothes.
