As I was texting with a client tonight, I found myself sharing something a coach once said to me in my 2nd year of business.
I remember that moment so clearly.
At the time, I was struggling to really see my value.
My pricing didn’t reflect my work.
And if I’m honest… I wasn’t treating my business like a business.
And she asked me one question:
Are you running a hobby or a business?
I felt that in my whole body.
Because I knew the answer.
I was playing small.
Holding back.
Not fully owning what I was building.
And in that moment, I had to decide.
Was I going to take this seriously?
Or was I going to keep treating it like something casual?
That question changed how I showed up.
How I worked.
How I priced.
How I led.
And tonight, in the middle of a conversation with a client, I knew…
This is what she needed to hear.
So I asked her the same question.
A few minutes later she replied:
“You’re right. I’m running a business.
I need to get my head and my heart aligned and get out there.”
That’s the shift.
Not more strategy.
Not more ideas.
A decision.
If you’re in a season where you know you’re capable of more…
but something isn’t fully clicking yet…
This might be your moment to decide.
Are you treating this like a business?
Or something you’ll get to later?
If you’re ready to move like a business owner, DM READY.
