And I am officially out of shadow box frames. Which means my fixation on paper crafts has reached a natural end and it’s time to switch to a fixation on painting wooden boxes.

No worries, I’ll be making more shadow boxes soon.

I have spent the last three evenings making paperclip bookmarks from my paper remnants. So now I have 20 new bookmarks that will be with me at the Adirondack Coast Arts & Crafts Fair on the 18th. This weekend I’ll get them all photographed and posted in my Paper Crafts album so you can all have a sneak peek. 🩵🧜🏻‍♀️

I will fully admit that I didn’t NEED to make these - I was pro-craft-inating: making crafts I don’t need to make to avoid completing and / or put off finishing one of the MANY pieces of art I’ve already started. It kind of gives me a bit of a creative reset, and I find when I’m focusing on making little projects that the programs running in the back of my mind work out the plan of action to finish something that I’m stuck on. It’s like the episode of Big Bang Theory where Sheldon starts working at Penny’s restaurant job and then spills the dish on the floor and realizes “it’s a WAVE”.

My 14 year old niece, Emma, who is with me at all of the events I do, made me a custom set of press on nails. She is going to start making and selling sets - so keep an eye out for Pressed By Em’s nail sets in the Adirondack Mermaid tent this Summer.
