🍦 Sweet Treats & Big Smiles! ☀️

Our activities team is always finding wonderful ways to keep life vibrant and full of joy! Today, some of our residents headed out for a classic afternoon adventure: a trip to Dairy Queen for some delicious ice cream.

As an Eden Alternative Certified Community, we are dedicated to eliminating loneliness, helplessness, and boredom. We believe that every resident—no matter what level of extra support or daily care they might need—deserves to enjoy a full, active, and fun-filled life with plenty of opportunities for variety and spontaneity!

From campus events to sweet neighborhood outings like today's, our incredible staff ensures that everyone stays connected, engaged, and thoroughly entertained. Judging by the smiles, the only thing sweeter than the ice cream was the company!

A huge thank you to our amazing activities team and volunteers for putting our Eden philosophy into action every single day. 💙

A huge thank you to the talented Merritt Ireland—a multimedia artist from Cookeville and a fellow Uplands member, for sharing her expertise and inspiring us all.

This class is proudly organized by HCCA (Heritage Community Cultural Arts), a project team of the Uplands General Assembly.

💡 Did you know? HCCA classes aren't just for residents! Uplands events and courses are often open to the broader community, too. We love welcoming new faces!
