My Journey to Better Health I am determined to be a Healthy and Fit Mom of 4! I know it will be a long and tough journey, but I am worth it! of where I was last summer.

I know in the end it will be the best thing I can do for my family and myself. With hard work in the gym, healthy eating & positive attitude! My basic goal is to achieve a healthy weight for my body, feel good and confident and be an active & positive role model for my kids. I want to do this my putting my goals on "paper" so to speak. Goal #1: Lower my body fat percentage
Goal #2: Get stronger
Goal #3: Make fitness a part of your routine
Goal #4: Train for an event (another 5K or Triathlon). Being that I started this process in the Spring of 2013....lost 40lbs had knee surgery in November of 2013 gained 18-20lbs back....
I am now within 8lbs. I know I am actually stronger and am running faster and longer than before. That in itself is an accomplishment! As we approach the Holiday Season....I am nervous.... I haven't bought one bag of Halloween candy...and don't plan to until the day of. I am learning that even with the best intentions, there is NO need to put temptations all around me. I will take each day, event, get-together one at a time. I am determined to reach my goal by my anniversary in June. I appreciate each and everyone being a part of this journey and even more so your support, motivational words & ideas.

So...it has been a few weeks since my last post, but I have found some renewed motivation. As this is a journey, there were quite a few ups and downs in February (travel, the weather & funeral) but there's something about March (impending warmer temps & increased daylight) that rejuvenate me & fuel my desire to make that extra effort. March is a new beginning ...the restart that my mind & body needs. Hibernation is over for this girl!
