Do your fur-babies get scared or anxious during fireworks (and thunderstorms)? Copper Topper does ☹️

Dr. Janet Roark gives 10 tips for helping your fur-babies during Fireworks!

💥 Tip #1: Make sure your dog gets LOTS of exercise and playtime before the fireworks start

💥 Tip #2: Be sure your pet has a safe place to hide - a comfy kennel with a blanket over it makes a great den!

💥 Tip #3: Did you know Spotify has playlists for dogs? Turn on the TV or play some music for your pets.

💥 Tip #4: Practice some training and obedience to distract your pets during the festivities and get their focus back on you.

💥 Tip #5: ALWAYS have a leash and collar or harness on if they have to go outside - EVEN if your yard is fenced in.

💥 Tip #6: Be sure your pet has an up-to-date microchip and a collar with a tag if your name and number on it in case they run away or get lost.

💥 Tip #7: Set up some indoor activities like an obstacle course.

💥 Tip #8: Give them a super fun toy they don't normally get to play with OR a super awesome treat or bone to chew on (pup-cicles).

💥 Tip #9: Apply OILS liberally!!!! If you are nervous, they will sense it - keeping YOURSELF calm is key!! Apply your Balance, Serenity and Adaptiv. Take a drop of Copaiba under your tongue. Take an Adaptiv capsule (I freaking LOVE the Adaptiv system)

💥 Tip #10: Diffusing dōTERRA oils can create a calm and soothing atmosphere so your pets sleep through the fireworks!!

Oils to Use: Peace, Serenity, Lavender, Vetiver, Roman Chamomile, Balance, Calmer, Copaiba, Console, Adaptiv

• 2 drops Serenity essential oil
• 2 drops Copaiba essential oil
• 2 drops Lavender essential oil
• 2 drops Vetiver essential oil

Add oils to a water-based diffuser and run on an intermittent setting. Leave the door to the room open so your pets are free to leave.
