When I think about the divisiveness in the world, it breaks my heart. Connection is vital to life. We are all connected (like it or not). The more me I become, the more reason I give certain folks to dislike me. The reasons don’t make sense to me, and I find myself wholly uninterested in returning the vitriol. I am intentional about the people I invite into my space AND I don’t find value in hating people- I find more reasons to continue to create loving and affirming spaces for this disconnect to heal.
So, if you being your whole, complete, beautiful self upsets people- let it.

When I say ALL bodies are GOOD bodies, I mean it. Having an LGTBQIA+ affirming space is something I cultivate all year around, but I won’t pass up the opportunity to celebrate and extend so much gratitude to the folks that fought for this right to celebrate🌈♥️✨

When people ask me if I do therapeutic or relaxation massage, my answer is- Yes. The two are not mutually exclusive. Bodywork is therapeutic. Period. The most valuable part of any session is connection. Safe, nurturing touch- in and of itself is healing. We are socialized to regard touch as something to be leery of as adults. For a lot of grown up folks it falls into two categories - romance or violence. Children get a lot of safe nurturing touch from their caregivers, but somewhere along the way we forget that adults also need touch to thrive. Massage is a safe lovely way to get that kind of connection and care. It’s a lovely gift for your single friend, your aunt, your thoughtful neighbor. It’s a perfect gift for YOU! Parents of kids that still want to climb all over you and snuggle- That’s wonderful! AND you deserve to be cared for by someone that needs nothing from you. You deserve aaalll the goodness folks.

It’s helpful to remember that we all have a different threshold for managing what life puts in our path. We don’t all have the same foundation to build upon, or life experience to color the lens we see the world through. Be gentle with yourself and others. We are all doing our best. Have compassion when you look back. Resist judgement. As Maya Angelou said- “When you know better you do better.”

Hello beautiful humans! We made it to 2024. Whew. We are on the other side of all the holiday hullabaloo. This time of year holds so much expectation. Often there are so many emotions competing that we check out. If we have a history of family trauma, this is even more likely to happen. Then the next thing you know, you are feeling bad about not being “festive”. Please please have compassion in these moments, invite gratitude even. It takes a long time to learn how to process and regulate all the feels if you didn’t learn this growing up. Your body is taking care of you, until you have the tools. Be gentle. I am wishing you an abundance of grace in 2024.

Hello beautiful humans! This time of year can be so challenging in honoring boundaries. This really hit home for me, because I really want the ones I love to have the very best holiday AND in the past that often meant putting myself last. It’s ok to say no y’all. No is a gift that can be given generously and with great care. The wonderful thing I have noticed is that the more I practice honoring my boundaries, the easier it is to honor other folks boundaries! I don’t take it personally when someone can’t show up in a way that I could, because each of our experiences of the world is nuanced and deserving of respect.
