Hearing how our work impacts families means the world to us. šŸ’—

We are so grateful to be part of Parker’s journey and proud of the incredible progress he continues to make. Supporting children and their families as they grow, learn, and thrive is exactly why Little Snackers Therapies exists!

At Little Snackers we are all about food wins, from little licks to big bites and everything before, after and in between. But we can’t keep sharing all the good without taking a closer look at some of the moments that get us there. With each new food we sometimes find ourselves face to face with a child’s frustration, rejection and clever strategies of avoidance. But our therapists are trained to shift that dynamic and bring joy, fun and playfulness to exploring new foods, turning that annoyance into excitement! Progress is not linear and you are not alone in juggling the ever changing emotions that your child brings to the table! Drop a ā€œāœ‹šŸ¼ā€ in the comment section if you can relate and let us help you balance the ups and downs of mealtime.

Rare doesn’t mean alone.

Progress may look different, but every step forward matters.

We are honored to walk alongside families navigating the unknown…advocating, problem-solving, celebrating small wins, and creating safe spaces around food.

Today we honor the strength of families navigating rare diagnoses and complex feeding challenges. šŸ’œ

Meet Mason!

Mason has some favorite go-to foods, but new flavors and textures can feel a little overwhelming. He's been working hard on building the skills he needs to safely chew and swallow, one step at a time.

With his personalized menu, from Little Snackers, Mason is also practicing making choices and exploring new foods outside of feeding therapy sessions. Tools like this help carry over the progress into everyday moments, building confidence, independence, and positive experiences with food.

Making food FUN is a sweet way to explore new flavors and reduce mealtime stress šŸ’•šŸ“

Try adding pops of pink, fun sprinkles, or playful heart shapes to snacks this Valentine’s Day! Small, silly changes can help little snackers feel more comfortable trying and enjoying foods.

Remember… food play is food learning!

As we continue to expand to better support our incredible community and meet the needs of our waitlisted families, we are excited to announce that we have hired another amazing Occupational Therapist/Feeding Therapist!

Meet McKenzie!

McKenzie is a board-certified and licensed Occupational Therapist who earned her Master’s degree from the University of New Hampshire. McKenzie has a big heart for pediatric therapy and a genuine passion for helping children and families thrive. With experience in early intervention, intensive pediatric rehab, and in-home therapy, she has developed a strong passion for feeding therapy and helping children build positive relationships with food.

McKenzie brings warmth, creativity, and a child-led approach to every session, meeting children where they are and building on their strengths. She creates a supportive environment where families feel understood and children feel safe to be themselves, grow and succeed.

To our waitlisted families: we see you, we hear you and we continue to grow for you!

Meet Molly!

Molly is 18 months old and has visual impairments, which can make eating feel unpredictable and overwhelming. Right now, she often prefers drier foods and textures that don't surprise her when she touches them.

Together with her parents, Molly is learning that messy doesn't have to mean scary. We're slowly, safely exploring new textures, building trust, and helping her feel more comfortable with foods she can't see before she feels them.

Every small step counts. Every touch is progress. And Molly is doing amazing!

At Little Snackers, we meet kids where they are and celebrate every brave bite along the way!

A couple of posts ago, we shared some exciting news: Little Snackers is expanding to better support our incredible community and meet the needs of our waitlisted families šŸ’›

Today, we’re thrilled to introduce Yami, one of the amazing reasons that expansion is possible!

Yami discovered her love for pediatric occupational therapy after witnessing a family friend thrive through OT, an experience that inspired her passion for helping children and families feel supported and empowered. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Yami is dedicated to helping children feel safe, confident, and successful during mealtimes.

Her clinical interests include: sensory sensitivities, oral motor skill development, picky eating and self-feeding.

Using child-led, play-based approaches, Yami partners closely with families to create calm, supportive mealtime routines that encourage growth while honoring each child’s readiness and comfort.

Our expansion means more support, more care, and more opportunities for families to feel seen and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome Yami to the Little Snackers team!

šŸ’¬ To our waitlisted families: we see you, we hear you, and we’re growing for you!
