We are excited to partner with the Eating Recovery Center (ERC) and Monte Nido to host a FREE continuing education presentation for providers working at the intersection of weight, metabolism, and behavior—where biology, emotions, and appetite regulation all play a role.

Today’s Therapy Technique from Tucker: 🐾 You’ve probably heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but do you know why❓Having a balanced breakfast helps to re-stabilize your blood sugar levels (since you haven’t eaten in a while 😴) which can actually improve your mood! Not only does breakfast give you energy to conquer the day, 💪🏻but it makes you less susceptible to feelings of irritability, anxiety and distractability by boosting dopamine and norepinephrine levels. ⬆️ When you nourish your brain, you make yourself more equipped to handle the stress that the day may throw at you. On today’s menu? 🧑‍🍳 Turkey Casserole with Broccoli. 🥦Yum! 🐶

Today’s Therapy Technique from Tucker 🐾: “Mindfulness is when we pause to be connected to the present moment. Instead of thinking of allll things we have to do, our past, our worries, or our stressors; we pause to be a part of the moment we are currently in. ☀️Mindfulness is different than meditation because instead of clearing our minds, we are focusing on one thing to pay attention to, fully and completely. Today, I chose the turkeys 🦃 to focus on, but my mindful moment ended the second mom mentioned breakfast 🥞. Mindfulness is a quick and effective way to reduce anxiety and stress. How often do you practice?”
