Healthful Voyage: Barbara McDowell, Independent Shaklee Distributor It is great to feel amazing; more fit and have increased energy. All with such simple exercise and diet changes plus adding healthy supplements. Shaklee!!

I do believe that each one of us is always searching for something…..We just may not know what the “something” is… could be something we need or something we want. Sometimes that something seems just out of our grasp or maybe it cannot be obtained easily. Occasionally life has a way of bringing that “something” to your attention over and over again until you finally see. I was first introduced to Shaklee products over 25 years ago when my three girls were just little ones. I immediately fell in love with the cleaning products and while I was never a “pill taker” I did find the supplements to be most helpful with my energy level and allergy symptoms. Then as time went on the children got bigger and schedules got crazier, I somehow drifted away from Shaklee. Fast forward to my late 40’s feeling stressed to the max and run-down from an even crazier daily schedule something strange started to happen…..I was no longer able to eat everything I wanted in the quantity that I wanted it. Having to watch what I ate to control weight gain was a crazy concept to me. Weight was never a concern or a problem for me in the past. Oh had times changed!! My metabolism had changed. My body felt uncomfortable. My overall health was compromised. My weight crept up little by little. My health suffered. It was time to do something about this. I needed to feel better. Exercise was the place to start for me. It led me to my “something”. I started taking a couple of classes at the local College on Saturday mornings; Tai Chi to help with relaxation and reducing stress and Zumba to do just the opposite. This was a nice balance for me. Lo’ and behold my instructor shared her interest in health and wellness with me – gave me her card and there it was…. I was introduced to the Shaklee 180 program and decided the Lean and Healthy program was a place for me to start. Over the course of the next year with the support of the wonderful Shaklee 180 program, I was able to lose 25 lbs. The best part of this program is the support to help keep the weight off. I learned how to eat healthier and how important it was to incorporate and keep regular exercise in my routine. Adding daily Shaklee supplementation helps to keep me healthy and strong so that I can continue to feel good about myself. This truly is my Shaklee Effect.
