I've never thought I needed to inform anyone, but our beeyard and backyard are pesticide-free. We also don't chemically treat our hives for hive beetles or mites. Although we see one or two occasionally, we've never had huge problems, so we let the bees take care of them. Most beekeepers use chemicals to kill hive beetles, which is probably safe for bees and doesn't affect honey quality, but we don't bother. As a result, our honey, honey products, and beeswax products are pesticide-free. (However, it's not 100% - our bees might visit pesticide-treated areas and bring it back to the hives.)
