š Congratulations to our newest ADEA Class Representative from the DMD Class of 2029!
Letās give a warm welcome to Kate Hernandez, who will proudly serve as the ADEA Class Representative for the next four years š¤©š¦·
As ADEA Class Rep, Kate will represent WesternU College of Dental Medicine at ADEA national events alongside Justin James Donato (DMD 2026), Vivian Chau (DMD 2027), and Colette Farzad (DMD 2028). Kate will help connect and support her class with opportunities in dental education and leadership.
We asked Kate to share a little about herself and what sheās most excited for in this new role:
āFun Fact: Iām the happiest in the summer, especially when Iām by the water. Whether itās the beach, a lake, or a river, thatās my peaceful place and where I go to recharge.
Fave Hobbies: I love being outside or being surrounded by nature! My favorite things to do back at home were hiking, snowboarding, paddle boarding, and swimming. Iām hoping to find some new hiking trails or go snowboarding here soon!
Why ADEA: I chose ADEA because it aligns with my values surrounding service, education, and equity in oral health. I love how ADEA brings students, educators, and professionals from different dental programs to create opportunities for collaboration, leadership, and growth within the dental community. Iām excited to be part of WesternUās ADEA Chapter and help make a positive impact in our dental community!ā
