🤒💨 RSV Is Going Around—Here’s What to Know
Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a very common virus that affects the lungs and breathing passages. Almost every child will have had RSV by age 2, but it can be more serious for infants, young children, and older adults. Right now, RSV is circulating in many communities, which makes it especially important to know the signs.
👀 How to Detect RSV:
• Runny nose, sneezing, or cough
• Fever and decreased appetite
• Irritability or trouble sleeping
• In severe cases: wheezing, rapid or labored breathing, chest muscles pulling in with each breath, blue lips/fingernails, or dehydration
