Steven D. Lewis, O.D. A native of the North Olympic Peninsula, Dr. Lewis is very excited to return home and provide comprehensive eye care for the community.

He is a graduate of Port Angeles High School and went on to receive a Bachelors in Biology from Western Washington University in Bellingham. He then completed his Doctorate in Optometry at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. Dr. Lewis provides primary eye care for all ages covering glasses, contacts, diabetic management, cataracts, and much more! Open Mon. – Fri. 8:00 to 5:30. Call today to schedule an appointment!

We’re Back!! Our office is once again open 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday! That being said, it is not quite business as usual. To help protect our patients and staff, the doctors have modified their schedules to minimize the number of patients in the office at one time. In addition, the optical shop is limited to 2 customers at a time. We are taking all precautions outlined by the health department to sanitize equipment, merchandise, and surfaces throughout the building. We recommend that patients wear masks when visiting the office and if you are not feeling well, please stay home. If you would like to schedule an appointment, please call (360) 452-9060. COVID -19 Update:
As many of you already know, Washington State has extended the stay-at-home order through May 4th. As a result, all of our doctors will continue working limited schedules to address emergencies and urgent follow-ups until AT LEAST MAY 4th, 2020.

Again, our staff and doctors are available to you by phone during regular business hours and our on call doctors will continue to monitor for emergencies after hours. If you are due for your routine yearly exam or need a checkup, please try to wait until we are back to full time. If you have an urgent need for contacts or glasses, please call and we will address your need as best we can.

Our plan is to be back to normal operations in early May. That being said, things may change in the near future. Please continue to watch our page for further updates.

COVID-19 Update:

As it is becoming more and more important to isolate ourselves, all our doctors have followed the CDC recommendation and suspended non-essential, non-urgent care at this time. As a result, our office will be CLOSED UNTIL AT LEAST APRIL 3rd, 2020.

Although our office doors will be locked, our staff is remotely monitoring the phones during regular business hours and our on call services will continue after hours. Also, all the doctors WILL be available for phone consultations and emergencies. If you have any trauma or a red eye pops up, please don't hesitate to call us.

We plan to re-open on a limited basis April 6th, 2020. That being said, things may change in the next few weeks. Please continue to watch our page for further updates.

About The Doctor

A native of Port Angeles, Dr. Lewis was very excited to return home and provide comprehensive eye-care for the community. He is a graduate of Port Angeles High School and went on to receive a Bachelors in Biology from Western Washington University in 2010. He then completed his Doctorate of Optometry at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. After graduation with honors in 2014, Dr. Lewis joined with Dr. Braun and Dr. Hainstock at Lincoln Street Eye Care. Dr. Lewis provides primary eye care for all ages covering glasses, contacts, glaucoma management, diabetic eye exams, surgical co-management, and much more!

With Dr. Hainstock’s retirement in 2016 the office underwent many upgrades including state-of-the-art equipment as well as adding Dr. Betsy Flodstrom, an ophthalmologist who provides on-sight surgical care, injections, as well as ocular disease management.

In his free time, Dr. Lewis is very involved in the community. Currently, he is president of the Nor’Wester Rotary Club and serves on the board of various other non-profit organizations. His hobbies include camping, sailing, car restoration, and spending time with his family.
