Samhain: Honoring Rest and Renewal

As the leaves fall and the nights grow longer, we enter Samhain, a time of honoring the cycles of life, death, and rebirth. It's a moment to reflect on the past year, release what no longer serves us, and prepare for the quietude of winter.

Samhain marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of a time for rest. Just as the earth rests in winter, we too need time to replenish our energy. This is a time to slow down, turn inward, and nurture ourselves.

Navigating the Darker Months: Tips for Managing Anxiety and Seasonal Depression

As the days get shorter and the nights get longer, it's not uncommon to feel a shift in your mood and energy levels. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and increased anxiety can be challenging, but there are strategies you can use to support your mental well-being.

1. Embrace Sunlight: Maximize your exposure to natural light. Open your curtains, take short walks outside during daylight hours, or consider using a light therapy lamp to mimic sunlight.

2. Stay Active: Regular physical activity can boost your mood by releasing endorphins. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week. This could be anything from a brisk walk to a home workout.

3. Mindful Nutrition: A balanced diet can significantly impact your mental health. Focus on incorporating plenty of fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. Limit processed foods, sugar, and excessive caffeine

A few years back, I experienced a significant loss, which sparked a profound healing journey for me. This journey led me to overcome OCD, a challenge I'd faced since I was 14, through inner work, Reiki, and nervous system regulation.

Now, I'm thrilled to offer my services at Moonwycks, creating a safe space for others to begin or continue their healing. Being part of a spiritual community has been transformative, and helping others through Reiki, breathwork, and spiritual coaching and 1 on 1 Shadow-work has deeply enriched my own healing.

My goal is to share my knowledge, empower others to heal themselves, and remind everyone that they are not alone. Healing is possible, and I'm here to support you.

Hey everyone! 👋 Feeling a bit disconnected lately? Here are some of my favorite ways to deepen my spiritual connection and find some inner peace. 🙏
