🎃 A belated Happy Halloween from Marwood! 👻
Our staff got into the Halloween spirit by dressing up and helping residents sort and pass out candy to the children on Friday! 🍬 Despite the chilly weather, everyone had a wonderful time watching the kids parade through in their fun, cute, and spooky costumes. 🧙‍♀️🦇

Residents loved seeing all the smiles and laughter as little ones stopped by for treats. It was truly a heartwarming way to celebrate the holiday together — full of joy, connection, and community spirit! 🧡🖤

🎃 Pumpkin Day at Marwood! 🎃

Today our Activities team hosted a festive Pumpkin Social to celebrate the season! Residents had a wonderful time helping to carve a pumpkin, making pumpkin fluff, coloring pumpkins, and playing a fun pumpkin game, while staff joined in the spirit by dressing in orange or their favorite pumpkin shirts. 🧡

It was a perfect fall day filled with laughter, creativity, and plenty of pumpkin fun for everyone! 🍂✨

With over **20 different vendors** providing health screenings, tests, vaccinations, and a complimentary breakfast, this is an event you won't want to miss.

🎃🧙‍♀️ Double, double, toil and fun! 🧙‍♀️🎃

Marwood hosted our annual Witches Brew Party, and it was a spooktacular success! Our Activities staff transformed into magical witches for the day — performing a lively skit, a witches’ dance, and hosting a hilarious “Best Witches Cackle” contest. Residents and staff alike enjoyed the festivities while sipping on our special witches’ potion (brewed with extra laughter and fun!).

Even more magic filled the room as staff joined in by wearing their favorite witch shirts and costumes. 🧹✨

Fun was had by all — we can’t wait to stir up more Halloween spirit! 🎃💜

🎨🌕 Paint Night at Marwood! 🌕🎨

This week, our talented Stacy and Art Therapist, Sara, hosted a special Paint Night for residents and families! Sara guided everyone step-by-step in creating a beautiful Harvest Moon painting. 🖌️✨

Residents and their families enjoyed an evening of creativity, laughter, and togetherness — and the finished paintings were absolutely stunning! ❤️🎨

🍂🍺 Oktoberfest at Marwood! 🥨🎶

Residents and staff gathered for a lively Oktoberfest celebration filled with music, laughter, and plenty of festive treats—beer, Vernors, pretzels, and more! 🍻🥨✨

A special thank you to our wonderful musical guests, Mindy & Michelle, who filled the room with sing-alongs, polkas, and traditional favorites. 🎶💃 Everyone had such a great time celebrating together—fun was truly had by all! 💛

🌻✨ Sunflower Social Fun! ✨🌻

Residents on our Memory Care, gathered together for a joyful Sunflower Social filled with cookies, creativity, and laughter. 💛 From painting cheerful sunflower art to enjoying sweet treats, it was a beautiful afternoon of connection and smiles.

These little moments of joy and togetherness mean so much—and our residents truly brightened the day just like sunflowers do! 🌞🍪🎨

🎀💗 Resident Council Bake Sale for Breast Cancer Awareness 💗🎀

This past week, our Resident Council proudly hosted a Bake Sale for residents and staff in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With cookies, cupcakes, and plenty of pink, they raised funds to donate to the Women’s Wellness Mammogram Program, helping support early detection and care. 🌸🍪🧁

We are so proud of our residents for giving back and standing together in the fight against breast cancer. 💕

Thank you to everyone who baked, supported, and shared in this meaningful cause!

💜 Yesterday, a few of our amazing Marwood staff laced up their sneakers and joined the community for the Dementia and Alzheimer’s Association for St. Clair County 5k/walk - "Find the Cure". 🏃‍♀️🚶‍♂️

We are proud to walk in honor of our residents, families, and loved ones who have been touched by dementia and Alzheimer’s. Together, step by step, we’re raising awareness and hope for a future without this disease. 💜✨

🍂🎨 Our Bob Ross impersonators are at it again, inspiring creativity! This week, two of our wonderful staff went throughout the building inviting residents to add their personal touch to our fall masterpiece. From leaves and flowers to pumpkins and fine details, every brushstroke came together to create a beautiful collaborative painting. What a fun and creative way to welcome the season at Marwood! 🍁✨
