What are you most Thankful for this Thanksgiving?

“The Banquet”

The altar of communion protected with lace
The banquet of harvest wed upon mighty rings of time.
Hearts and minds join
Worries and fears left behind the arches
A sense of season, a flowering of time.
Few present, many remembered
The drip of ivory marking drifting sands of time
Scattered copper, iron, silver and gold
Embers aglow
Strings shimmering lovingly.
Vineyards present in majestic form
Blood, sweat, tears like honey to the bee
Seedlings matured, ground into grace.
Rested upon craft of other
Life flickers through faceted jewels.
A time for thanksgiving
A communion for all.

What a wonderful surprise I got in the mail from an awesome patient.

My gift everyday is being able to help people.

It is such a nice feeling to be recognized in life with kind gestures of all forms.

Give someone a random call, letter, email, text, gift, card, etc and make someone’s day extra special.

I am very grateful for each and every patient and my amazing staff that allows me to focus on my patient’s care.

Autumn

Morning, an artist's work is soon revealed
A fiery ball ascends towards the Gods
Wonders of life are born anew,
My feet are bathed in beads of life.
The scene is set with crimson and gold
Mischievous gatherers seek life's promised bounty.
Above, blue and satiny white,
speckled with fluttering black and brown.
Bellows released tenderly so,
Sending fragments of canvas gently to the ground.

My breaths have been plenty, many hours have passed
The canvas is put away, but replaced with new.
Silhouettes of the mighty and weak appear
Light waltzes across silky wrinkles
Jewels scatter against black velvet
Blue hues of light grace the canopies above
Wonders of life anew again.

Fall is here and it’s apple picking season🙏

What is your favorite apple ? (please share your comments)
Red delicious, Macintosh, Granny Smith, Gala, Rome, Pink Lady, Honey Crisp, Fuji, etc.

Does an Apple a day really keep the doctor away ?
Apples are a great source of nutrients, antioxidants, fiber, low glycemic, easy to eat, store well and super versatile.
They are great for weight loss, reducing inflammation, heart and gut health, lowering the risk for cancer, and more.
They contain one of my favorite compounds quercetin (great for allergies and a senolytic…more on that with another post)

Apples certainly do have a long history…remember Adam and Eve😉
