Call Brian

Call Brian Providing a helping hand to the senior community (and non-seniors too)! I would do the shopping for them while my Mom shopped for us.

I had the great fortune of growing up in a multi family house in Port Jefferson with all of my grandparents. I would dust Grandma’s “knick knack” shelf and do other chores for them around the house. During this time, I worked with my Dad and many of his friends in the trades learning the basics of carpentry, plumbing, electrical and landscaping. In my later years, I handled the care of my aging pa

rents, taking care of their home, helping with meals, handling finances and other legal matters, and helping find the care that they needed in assisted living when keeping them home became too great a task. My Mom struggled with Dementia and my Dad suffered from the debilitating effects of a stroke. I got a tremendous amount of satisfaction from being able to help them, so after 30 years of traveling for work, I decided to come home to Port Jefferson and to try to make a difference in the lives of others. We all need a helping hand eventually and I'm happy to help.

Dear friends - As many of you know, I have been dealing with severe nerve pain in my leg for quite some time now. After nearly 15 months of trying physical therapy, six epidurals, and chiropractic, the only option left is spinal surgery. Fortunately, it's minimally invasive and considered outpatient. Unfortunately, I will be out of work for 4 - 6 weeks starting October 28th. No heavy lifting, bending or twisting until I get the okay from the surgeon. Hopefully, I will be cleared for light duty before that time, but one day at a time. If you have projects that you need help with before the 28th, I will do my best to accommodate. Thanks so much!

Selling your home can be a daunting process. Recently, I worked with long time customers who were selling what was at one time their grandparents house. We filled several dumpsters with “stuff” from the attic and basement on some of the hottest days of the year. In addition, I patched walls and touched up paint throughout the house, gave the carpets and wood floors a good cleaning, insulated the heat pipes in the basement, cleaned out the garage, found homes for furniture, made several trips with donations to our local pantry, changed the refrigerator gasket and filters, and gave the house a good cleaning inside and out.
Needless to say, all this hard work paid off and they received a full price offer within hours of listing, followed by several counter offers in the days that followed. They close in two weeks!
