Dr. Mehmet Oz Declares Reiki His #1 Alternative Medicine Secret
If Dr. Mehmet Oz is talking about Reiki, all of America is talking about it and looking for ways to learn about it. Learning Reiki is a great step to take to improve and maintain good health.
On January 6, 2010, Dr. Mehmet Oz revealed his Ultimate Alternative Medicine Secrets for 2010 during his nationally broadcast talk show. He ranked Reiki #1, saying: "Reiki is the most important alternative healing modality." Dr. Oz said, "We've been using it for years in the Oz family, and we swear by it. Even Mrs. Oz is a Reiki Master. She uses Reiki to calm me down when I get wound up."
Cited by the New York Times as the most accomplished cardiothoracic surgeon in the U.S., Dr. Oz incorporated Reiki into his open-heart surgeries at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He stated: "I'm good at what I do, but adding an energy worker in the OR could enhance surgical outcomes."
Reiki is a non-invasive form of hands-on energy medicine that balances the body, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually, enabling the body to do what it knows how to do best - heal itself. Reiki assists in accelerating healing from injury or illness, promoting relaxation and stress reduction and reducing or eliminating pain. Reiki strengthens the immune system, assists in clearing emotional or physical trauma, and offers quality of life support for those who are aging or in hospice care. Knowing Reiki is like having your own personal first aid kit in your hands.
Reiki offers people greater personal control over their own health and healing. They can also use it to help family members, including their pets, as well as friends and colleagues.
Reiki is mushrooming in popularity because it's simple, it works, and anyone can learn to do it. Reiki has demonstrated its efficacy in three main arenas of health care: pre and post op, anxiety and depression, and oncology.
Reiki is offered as a complementary modality in many U.S. hospitals, as well as worldwide. There are thousands of Reiki practitioners in the U.S. and millions around the world, creating peace and healing one heart at a time.
