this is your Monday reminder to give yourself some 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘.
we can easily get trapped in “doing”. but a gentle reminder... we are human BEings. yes, it’s important to do the necessary work to improve our lives, our mindset, our approach to relationships, nutrition & working out, keeping a stable and calm mind while chaos ensues around us, etc.
however, 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 - which is the way in which we react/approach what presents itself to us at any given time. some of these “poor” reactions come from past traumas, how others have treated us and what worked at that point, or who we are used to reacting to (like an overbearing parent or ex-lover).
we want to be better, of course! but we can only do that by reflecting; sitting in the moment and understanding WHY we react or act a certain way when a “poor” moment occurs on our part. but we’re allowed to have “poor moments” - we’re human. and with that, we’re allowed to ALSO give ourselves the same type of respect to reflect, to work through the issue, and find grace within ourselves. 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗙 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗙𝗔𝗥 𝗬𝗢𝗨'𝗩𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘.
and when you’re ready to pick back up and do the work to be better, then start with what calls to you. read a new personal development book, listen to an inspiring podcast, hang out with friends who lift you up, meditate/pray to get better acquainted with your higher power.
keep your chin up; 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 with the resources you have🤍
