Here we intentionally choosing relationships that recharge you. Focusing on positive, supportive connections, including with our selves.

Spend time with those who make you feel seen + heard, while also prioritizing taking breaks from all socialization including social media.

This rest is to support you, not another thing to add to your plate.

Its here we can be present with something you feel spiritually connected to or simply connecting with your inner self often finding a sense of purpose.

Finding support in shared beliefs or purpose within the community can also support this type of rest.

The Winter Solstice invites us to pause, rest, reflect + set new intentions for the year to come. Physical rest also allows us to do these tasks.

The world around us is already loud + always seeking our attention- music playing in the background in the stores we shop, televisions in restaurants we eat at, our phones sending us notifications for every app.

Allowing your mind +body to feel safe enough to process pent up emotions is not an easy task. But setting aside time to do so can be incredibly healing.

Today marks day 1 of 7 days of nurturing rest starting with mental rest.

During this season of life many of us are go-go-go between purchasing gifts, attending multiple holiday parties, working, parenting, essentially doing all the things for everyone else - except for ourselves.

This leads to us feeling physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually exhausted. burnt out. drained.

Rest is so incredibly important for our health and overall wellbeing. Our nervous system thrives on slowing down + taking time for your needs.

This post is meant to shed some light on ways to incorporate rest into your life. Prioritize you too during this busy season.

d e c e m b e r ⛄️

taking a break from group + online classes this month. somatic healing one on one sessions are available for scheduling, however spots are very limted. these are held on wednesdays + saturdays at the Embody Healing Collective in Portage. the schedule can be found on my website linked in my bio.

december is packed full of events with my family, friends, and finishing strong with this current season of massage therapy schooling that I am in. a break from classes is how I am honoring my nervous system health.

I encourage you to slow down + make space for yourself this season as well 🩷

moving forward into 2026 with new class offerings, classes held in new spaces, and continuing to build on my trauma informed care knowledge so that I can show up wholeheartedly for each of you from a trauma informed lens.

I cant wait to practice with you in the new year!

this gentle, grounding yoga practice is designed to help you cultivate awareness of internal sensations and feelings within to help us connect the mind and body while fostering a deeper sense of self-awareness and emotional release.

Emotions manifest in our minds + bodies in the form of energy -

Energy that we've carried from our past into our present. Energy from the unknowns of our future. While this energy manifests within us, our bodies are carrying an immense, invisible weight.

This energy is the root that detaches us from our own body + inner self. This energy shrinks the breath. It makes the mind doubt the reasoning behind our aches + pains. It silences our bodies' screams to release it

But, our breath, though it may be shallow, can deepen once more. As we unwind the body and explore hidden layers within, we can discover the freedom to express ourselves. To uncover + release this energy. Navigate its waves. Allow us to finally tell the body, I hear you.

In a world that constantly tells us to suppress our emotions, this practice invites you to observe the release. 🌙
