Let’s talk TNR/Cat Colony caretakers…

As we start off our new TNR project we are also asking for those caring for colonies to contact our office and register their preexisting colonies. This is free of charge and needs to be done yearly.

Some people asked how many cats are considered a colony? If you are caring for any number of outdoor cats contact our office to register.

Information required for registration: we will need your name, address, contact information, area the cat(s) are located, veterinarian(s) used for care of your colony, number of cats currently TNR’ed and estimated number of cats still needing to be TNR’ed.

Caretakers that register their colonies and are actively trying to reduce the numbers through TNR are not subject to warnings or citations. Proper documentation is vital so we can track the progress of this program.

If you need our assistance with TNR please let us know. We already have multiple areas that we have identified as trouble spots and will be focusing our attention to them. We will assess the situation and if needed will adjust where we focus our trapping.

We are looking forward to getting this program running smoothly and appreciate everyone’s support!
