This has been a long time coming. Earth Healing Herb Company is defunct. I'm aware that a NEW company is using the same name...

THIS Earth Healing Herb Company made herbal preparations under Oregon Department of Agriculture inspection. The products were intended to be sold in a retail food store (my shop) under the approval of Oregon Department of Agriculture.

To inform you of what that entails: The facility in which the products were prepared must have a handwashing sink, a triple sink for washing and sanitizing, a mop sink, floor drains, etc etc. I used a commercial kitchen in order to comply.

The store (my herb shop in Portland) was required to have a handwashing sink AND a mop sink. I complied.

The store location was not ideal. But, then, the landlord rented to a cannabis wholesaler. The smell of green cannabis permeated the building and made me sick. I didn't feel good about bringing in people for classes or consultations. The money was not coming in to keep things going.

So...I closed the shop.

Now that my inspections are due again, I informed ODA that I'm out of business. Both inspectors demanded that I remove products from my website, as they aren't being stored in compliance with their standards. For that, I would need a "warehouse certification".

This experience has served to forge the chasm between governmental controls and oversight and natural healing. It should not come as any surprise. This suppression has been ongoing for centuries, if not millennia.

So, if you see a wild woman stepping out of the forest with a few stalks of Devil's club...or a bunch of elderberries...or other healing plants, it might just be me.

If you are in the Portland area, go buy yourself some hardy medicine plant seeds tomorrow! Medicine Garden is where we source some of our seeds, live plants, and dried plants. Always top quality; the love and care is apparent.

Here in Portland, there’s a pot shop on every corner it seems. The Earth Healing Herb Company shop is in a shared building; one of the lessees here is a cannabis wholesaler. The shop next door is a recreational cannabis shop.

While I personally love the smell of good, fresh bud, it’s not appropriate to my retail and clinic setting. (Come on in - oh that? Never mind the smell..) it often reeks of w**d here in my space. This is the reason the shop will be relocated after March 31. Our products are available online always! earth-healing-herbs.com
