The 200-terabyte 1,000 Genomes Project data will now be stored for free, although analytic computing resources will come at a price

A team up at the University of Washington has been able to sequence DNA using a nanopore setup. This could mean inexpensive, quick, and accessible sequencing is just around the corner.
