Did you know that 90% of people who set New Year's resolutions fail by the month of February? 🤯

If your New Year resolution for 2024 is to lose weight, but you tried last year and the year before and had zero success, this is probably why! 👇

1. You set unrealistic expectations: 🧨
Most of us want to lose as much weight as quickly as possible, but we chew off than we can swallow. Sure, you can lose 20 pounds in one month, but the lengths to get there will burn you out, create an unhealthy relationship with food, and your just going to gain the weight right back!

2. You lack education on nutrition: 🍎
You probably don't know where to start when it comes to fat loss, and all you know is that keto worked for your friend so it must work for you. WRONG!❌ Fat loss is not one size fits all!

Can you believe the scale says she lost only 3 lbs? 🤣 This is a prime example why you shouldn't JUST rely on the scale to measure fat loss progress. She's lost inches off her entire body as you can see. 📏

‼️I tortured my self for years!! Here's my story 👇

The pics above are times I've lost weight and gained it right back because I was stuck in the vicious cycle of restricting and binging. ♻️

I tortured myself for YEARS just because I wanted so desperately to be skinny and see abs FAST! 🙄

EVERY SINGLE TIME I lost the weight, I quickly rebounded and gained MORE weight than I did before I dieted!! 📈

This constant vicious cycle of restricticting and binging absolutely exhausted me. The binging increased, I developed body dismorphia, & my relationship with food was extremely unhealthy. ♾️

Here are some bad habits I developed:

👎I labeled food "good/bad"
👎I thought eating 1000 cals/day= faster results
👎 I thought exercising 2 hours/6 days a week= faster results.
👎 I would over exercise to "punish" myself for eating "extra cals."
👎 I had HUGE food guilt about eating my fav foods/desserts. 🍩
👎 I yo-yo dieted and hopped from fad diet to diet fad.
👎I stopped going to social events because I was embarrassment of the way I looked and felt in my own skin.

Flexible eating has not only helped me, but it's helped EVERY single one of my clients over come their unhealthy relationship with food and find balance. ⚖️

💥5 tips to try this holiday season to enjoy your favorite holiday dishes and desserts GUILT FREE without gaining additional body fat!!! 💥

1. Portion control: instead of restricticting to save calories, just cut back on your portion sizes! Have the slice of pie, bread roll, or mash potatoes! 🥖

2. Don't drink your calories: LIMIT the amount of sugary beverages such as fruit juices, sodas, sparkling ciders, and high sugar/ calorie alcoholic beverages. 🍾

3. Stop eating BEFORE you get full: Thanksgiving specifically is known for stuffing your face until you feel sick. This leaves you feeling yucky and guilty for days, even weeks! 😬

4. Be choosy with your food selections: Save your calories for the holiday food you can't have any other day of the year. 🍰

5. Be mindful while eating: savor the food you're consuming by slowing down your pace and allowing yourself to appreciate your food. 🥰

Unfortunately, it's common for people to experience high food anxiety around the holidays especially. 🎄🦃

This is due to a few reasons:

💥 They know they're going to OVER indulge because they haven't learned how to portion control.

💥They heavily restrict calories/ food year long, so they over indulge the foods they normally restrict.

💥They typically don't have a healthy relationship with food due to the fact that they label food "good/ bad", yo-yo diet, and/or have the "all or nothing" mindset around food.

💥 Being in a social environment during the holidays influences people to eat and drink more.

Your health and wellness don't have an off season, it's year round. 🗓️

So, if your plan is to hold off on your fatloss goals so you can over indulge for the holidays, then you have it backwards.

Some may think focusing on their health and fat loss during the holidays is a waste of time, but in actuality it's the perfect time to learn how to eat around the holidays and still see results! 🔥
