Imagine spending 8 weeks with our holistic homesteading family (without the hassle and expense of traveling) - learning from our mistakes, sharing your obstacles, gaining wisdom, and benefitting from knowing our secrets. What if you could do all this from your own kitchen table, or couch, at your own pace. What if you finally had the time and space and support to get to the root, to take a step back, to really get your feet underneath you, and design a plan forward that will help the actual work flow forth with ease.
Imagine having a place to ask your questions - the little ones, and the BIG ones, a place where you feel grounded and connected, earthy and clear.
What would you like to dedicate yourself to this year?
Do you dream of shifting away from your labor intensive garden that requires hours and hours of prepping and planning toward a self-sustaining perennial food forest? Or maybe you're craving nutrient dense animal foods and want to raise livestock for milk and/or meat. Would you LOVE to have backyard fresh real milk?
Maybe you already have a small kitchen garden, but are ready to make the switch to a traditional foods diet and can’t wait to make your own yogurt and cheese and liver paté and sourdough bread and YES! You can just taste it already. You can smell the bread baking and hear the children giggling while they shake the cream into butter or quibble while deciding who will pour the slop to mister pigster.
More than anything you want to re-member the sacred family circle and the wholeness that comes from committing to what matters most.
Amen . . . we hear you.
We want all this too . . .
But wait -
Yes - you want wholesomeness and sacred family unity and connection to earth rhythms and all the magic, but . . . ughhhh - there is waaaay too much to learn and do and you feel like it all has to look like a trendy instagram post. What if you don’t have any land, or money for all those impressive tools and projects???
What if you’re tired of seeing all the perfect homesteading gurus, whether they’re wives with perfect husbands, or mothers with perfect children, or children with perfect mothers, or farms with perfect barns or KITCHENS . . . Oh my . . .
Why even bother?!
It’s true, homesteading has become trendy.
It has become another thing you can succeed and/or fail at. It really can be so overwhelming and discouraging - all of the different ideas, opinions, and projects. Finding our way back to connection with the earth, seasons, animals and each other is sometimes too much to grasp. It can be truly paralyzing especially when you look out and everyone seems to have success AND peace . . . except you!
Autumn especially is a busy time for any homestead. Preparing for the winter, planning for the spring, it can be so much to manage. It’s easy to get burnt out.
We get it!
It’s true that we can intimidate each other with our expertise, overwhelm each other with advice, and alienate each other through a false sense of superiority.
It’s also true that we can inspire each other with goodness, with love, with un-impressive simplicity, and with honest, considered, and profound co-creation.
well . . . we have a secret to share with you ~
Have you ever heard of the Latin term scholé?
Scholé is the root word for our modern day school, but its original meaning is a little different. It can be translated as leisure, or more specifically as, restful learning.
restful learning
We believe that in order to have true sustainability and avoid this burn out, we must embrace restful learning, or - as we call it in our holistic homesteading program - laziness. Really it’s not laziness at all, but rather a resistance to the contemporary culture of hard-work, diligence, industriousness, and ambition at all costs.
Lazy-Lady Living is all about this ancient form of leisure, scholé, where we gather and wonder and consider and contemplate together in order that we all grow toward, and live into, and offer . . . goodness.
This is what we want to share with you.
It’s not about memorization, or competence, or expertise, because that alone won’t help you in homesteading or in living in a good way. It is about embracing principles and philosophies and letting them permeate your life, work and family… because we aren’t learning something new, we are remembering something old, something ancient and familiar, something calling us forward, and back to source - all at once - a knowing that lives deep within all of our bones.
We're talking about . . .
a beautiful, lazy, restful, way of life that can guide you towards a future where truth, integrity, and connection are centered…
We, the Arias family, have been living and teaching soulful permaculture, holistic homesteading, ethical business, earth rhythms, free-birth & DIY death, grounded unschooling, and traditional food preparation/nutrition for almost twenty years.
Lazy Lady Living, our 8 week online Holistic Homesteading program (which can be done at your own pace, or with the group) will help you come back to laziness, to the restful learning of our ancestors.
Through permaculture principles and our near 20 years of experience, we will show you how to design a functional, peaceful homestead that nourishes you, your family, your community and the earth. Whether you have 0 acres or 1,000 acres, we want to help you move towards your heart’s desire.
Will you join us?
From right now through October 30th, Lazy Lady living is on sale for more than 50% off. We want this program to be accessible for as many people as possible so we have two options - a single payment, or a series of three. Don’t miss this chance! Come, be lazy with us . . . We can’t wait to meet you!
