This is one my very favorite weddings for one heartfelt reason: Shannon & Ben are magnificent humans and it would take up sooo much space to state all the immense number of adjectives describing their qualities.
It was obvious to me the first time we met, and evidenced by the outpouring of love from their almost 200 guests❤️
Their venue has painted on the wood floor “watch your step” as I was the first person about to walk down the aisle and promptly fell face down on my previously injured knee! I’m sure the videographer has it on film while all the guests watched 😳
A staff member helped me up, I brushed myself off and continued walking making a joke out of it, but my knees were screaming😟
Somehow I managed to perform a perfect ceremony🤷‍♀️ This couple deserved nothing less 🥰

The most fun part of this wedding was chatting with people on the Groom’s side who flew in from Australia!
Love that accent and the fact that a girl from Connecticut could meet her husband-to-be online in Australia and he would move here for her❤️

Normally, I don’t use the term “head over heels” but it’s exactly how I would describe this delightful couple.
When we first met virtually, there was so much frivolity going on that I felt like I had known them forever🥰
Since they are world travelers and could have gotten married anywhere, they made the exquisite decision of choosing Hartford, CT., and the thrilling decision for me to be their Justice of the Peace!!
I hope Paul forgives me for telling you all that despite his convivial personality, he choked up saying his vows to Ann so much, he had a tough time getting through them❤️

When we were pushing ourselves through a heatwave, and mother nature changes the weather to “perfect” on this date, it must be because this beautiful couple deserved a perfect wedding!

On a personal note, I do not book July weddings, but it was my birthday, which I don’t celebrate…I thought it would be nice to be at a venue I love where love was everywhere💛

When I had my first video conference with this beautiful couple, & , I immediately warmed to them, so much that I wished they were my neighbors!

Fat chance of that happening since I’m in Connecticut and they are in Colorado!

On their Big Day it was so obvious that the 175 guests felt the same way about them…being surrounded by love is the most amazing feeling even though it’s not directed at me 💛
