Chickadee Herbs & Sundries

My name is Tessa and I am the proud owner of Chickadee Herbs & Sundries (formerly Chickadee Apothecary), a small business based out of Portland, Oregon specializing in natural and organic wellness wares. Since my early teens I've been passionate about natural remedies, physical fitness, and nutrition, and due to familial influence there has always been a calling toward the field of healthcare. However, rather than following the path of conventional allopathic medicine like my mother, paternal grandfather or several others, I drew inspiration from my maternal great great grandmother who held the wisdom of indigenous plant medicines of central Brazil. Our indigenous ancestors worldwide gave reverence to Mother Earth, lived in reciprocity with Her, and held a deep respect for the natural world. The primary goal of Chickadee Apothecary is to help people achieve wellness of body, mind, and spirit through the assistance of our botanical allies. On a larger scale, I also believe that herbalism can play a role in environmental preservation and rehabilitation. Those who have been touched by plant medicine recognize it's importance, and are inclined to help protect the plants and ecosystems they live in. Thank you for reading and be well!
