If you sometimes feel like you are being pulled in ten directions…

If you worry that you’re not giving enough to each of your children…

If you lie awake wondering whether you’re doing it right…

You are not alone.

The very fact that you think about these things means your children have something incredibly valuable:

A mother who cares deeply about who they are as individuals.

I speak to this very real and important topic in my newest blogpost.

Self-care isn’t just for new moms.
It’s for every mom… no matter the age of your children.

Whether you’re up all night with a newborn, navigating toddler meltdowns, managing busy school schedules, or supporting grown children finding their way… motherhood asks a lot of you.

And somewhere along the way, it’s easy to forget yourself.

Self-care doesn’t have to be big or fancy.
It can look like: • a quiet cup of coffee before the house wakes up
• a walk in fresh air
• saying “no” without guilt
• asking for help
• resting when your body whispers (or shouts) for it
Taking care of yourself is not selfish.

It’s what allows you to keep showing up with love, patience, and presence.

No matter what season of motherhood you’re in…
you deserve care, too. 🤍

Breastfeeding is about more than milk.
Yes, it’s nourishment.
Yes, it’s antibodies.
Yes, it’s beautifully designed nutrition.
But it’s also co-regulation.
It’s oxytocin flowing.
It’s nervous systems syncing.
It’s thousands of tiny moments of “you are safe with me.”

When a baby latches, both mother and baby release oxytocin, the bonding hormone. Heart rates steady. Breathing slows. Cortisol decreases. Safety increases.
Your body becomes their anchor.

And here’s what I love reminding mothers:
Your nervous system benefits too.
Breastfeeding can be a forced pause in a world that rarely asks us to be still. A rhythm. A return. A quiet sanctuary in the middle of long days and longer nights.

And if breastfeeding is complicated, painful, short-lived, or not your path, bonding is still absolutely possible. Attachment is built through presence and responsiveness, not ounces.

Connection is the magic.
Milk is just one pathway. 🤍

If this speaks to you, share it with a mama who needs the reminder.

Marriage changes after kids... everyone talks about the hard parts. The exhaustion. The miscommunication. The overwhelm.

But what we don’t talk about enough are the quiet ways parenthood can actually strengthen a marriage.

Watching your partner become a parent.
Learning to move like a team.
Sharing a deeper sense of purpose.
Finding connection in the smallest moments.

My newest blog is about the beautiful shifts that happen when two people grow through parenting together... the kind that don’t make headlines, but change everything. 🤍

If you’re in this season (or heading into it), I hope it feels like a reassuring nod that growth and closeness are happening… even in the chaos.

This sweet girl is so content to just sit and stare at me until I pet her. It's impossible to get any work done with her, but maybe thats the lesson here. To just take a break and be. .

Happy 21st birthday to my sweet Nathaniel!
🎂 🥳 🎉

You were my first water birth💧, my first postpartum hemorrhage and my first NICU baby.  You have been such a joy to watch as you have grown into a thoughtful and humorous young man.  I am so proud of you and so grateful for the gift of being your mom.

As I sit sipping my tea this evening, I am reminded of all of the beautiful women who take time each day to read my posts and my blog and now listen to my podcast. I wanted your home to enjoy the same spicey ginger scent as mine does and remind you to settle in to the warmth of ginger.

Also, lately, I’ve been thinking about how tired we all are of polish.

The perfectly lit reels.
The tidy takeaways.
The “I’ve got it all figured out” energy that feels impressive, maybe, but not comforting.

Authentic content doesn’t mean oversharing online.
It doesn’t mean trauma dumping or documenting every hard moment in real time. It means showing up as your truest self.

It means telling the truth with tenderness.
It looks like:

Saying “this is still unfolding” instead of rushing to a lesson (which I have at times been guilty of... OK, maybe more than a few times)

Admitting when you don’t have a neat answer

Sharing from lived experience, not just expertise

Letting your voice sound like a real human, not a brand strategy.

For me, authenticity lives in the in-between moments: The quiet wins.
The messy middles.
The days when I’m supporting others while still doing my own inner work.

Authenticity is the word i chose for my business this year. I made this word a promise to myself as my business grows and time and energies show themselves less and less.

Especially in motherhood, birth work, healing, and care based spaces...  we don’t need more perfection.

We need presence.
We need stories that say: “You’re not behind.” or “This is allowed to be hard.” or my favorite "You are not alone".

So if my content feels slower lately… softer… more reflective—that’s intentional.

I’m choosing connection over curation.

Depth over dopamine.

Truth over trends.

And if you’re craving that too, you’re not alone.

So, if this resonates, stay close. I’ll be sharing more from the heart, more from real life, and less from the highlight reel.

Authenticity isn’t loud.
It’s honest.
And it trusts the right people will feel it.
