Why did you decide to study Structural Integration?
I decided to study Structural Integration after receiving the series work; realizing how effective it was in helping me develop a better sense of personal embodiment, increasing freedom in my movement patterns & reducing overall pain in my body.

What are you most excited about in starting your training?
I am most excited to develop my hands-on skills and techniques further and to connect that in a way that I get to express myself creatively.

What populations or groups of people are you most interested in working with?
I am interested in working with all walks of life, but particularly with individuals dealing with chronic pain and reduced mobility.

Jonathan is a recipient the Community Clinic Internship scholarship serving in the 2027 IDA-SI Community Clinic.

We’re thrilled to announce that the 2026 Student Clinic is officially open for client model applications! In just two days since opening applications, we’re already 25% full, and spots are moving quickly.

Becoming a client model is a beautiful way to:

- Receive the full Structural Integration 10-Series
- Participate at a significantly reduced cost
- Experience sessions approximately once per month
- Support the education of emerging SI practitioners
- Be part of a thoughtful, intentional learning environment

Our student clinic runs February–December 2026, with student practitioners guiding three clients each through the complete 10-Series under faculty supervision.

Why did you decide to study Structural Integration?
Before I became a licensed massage therapist I was a scientist and engineer, so I crave to understand processes - the why and how things work or don't. I feel that my massage education & experience so far is insufficient at understanding the whole-body system, and at strategically providing lasting changes in clients. I'm hoping that learning Structural Integration and embodiment will help me better understand the mind body system and be a more effective practitioner.

What are you most excited about in starting your training?
I'm excited to receive SI myself and see how it will transform me!

What populations or groups of people are you most interested in working with?
I would like to work on clients who have poor posture (due to sedentary desk jobs, etc.). In the future I would like to work with kids and people with nervous system regulation issues.

Helen is a recipient of 2 scholarships: the Work Study Admin Scholarship serving as the Client Model Coordinator and the Community Clinic Internship scholarship serving in the 2027 IDA-SI Community Clinic.

Meet our faculty!

Adam Persinger, BCSI, LMT
he/him

Adam Persinger studied Rolfing® Structural Integration at the Rolf Institute, and is a student of Vajrayana Buddhism, the Diamond Approach (an intensive somatic inquiry path), yoga, qigong and the Gyrotonic method. Adam started his career as a licensed massage therapist in 2004 in Portland Oregon. Besides his love for meditation, movement and somatic embodiment Adam writes and performs music as Body Holographic:

All this has informed a unique approach into embodied presence.

Training: From 2004-2011 Adam spent around a month each year in meditation retreat with his teacher of Vajrayana Buddhism, Khentrul Lodro Thaye Rinpoche, including 3 months in a monastery in Tibet. In 2012 he finished a yoga teacher training at the People's Yoga. He has been studying Qi gong with Master Wu also since 2012 www.masterwu.net. Adam started out as a massage therapist, graduating from the Ashland Institute of Massage in 2003. Adam finished his study at the Rolf Institute in Brazil in 2010. He has studied Continuum Movement with Emilie Conrad and Susan Harper. He’s been a student of the Diamond Approach (www.diamondapproach.com) since 2010. He’s studied nerve work with Jon Martine, osteopathic techniques with Ron Murray, and joint restriction with John deMahy. He is certified as a trainer in the Gyrotonic expansion system. Structural-Visceral Gastrointestinal Interrelationships with Bruce Schonfeld, and Fascial Counterstrain at the Jones Institute. Adam is currently studying Visceral Manipulation at the Barral Institute, and Craniosacral therapy with the Upledger Institute.

Map tissue quality under load (tone, densification, fascial glide)

Link what you feel to movement observations & client goals

Build confident, ethical, client-centered touch in WB positions

Accepting Applications for the 2026 Cohort

Only 6 spots remain in our 2026 Structural Integration Academy! If you’ve been considering this path, now’s the time to apply and submit your deposit to secure your seat. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and due by November 10.

We are offering a cohort every other year, with the next being offered in 2028. This will allow us to invest in our graduates through direct mentorship via our community clinic in 2027, part of the Community Clinic Internship Scholarship.

We offer a variety of scholarships and work-study opportunities, and all scholarship applications are due September 1, 2025. Applying now gives you time to prepare your materials and explore tuition planning with us.
