We provide tasty and nutritious home cooked meals--using some of your favorite recipes. There are no hidden costs. Our rate includes all services and amenities except medication and co-pays. New Hope Elder Care is run by Jenny Powers, who has a BA in psychology with a focus in gerontology. She has worked in two nursing homes as a recreation director. After several years of home educating her children, she returned to school and became a registered nurse. She worked briefly at Norfolk Sentara Hospital and as a private duty nurse. Most recently she worked as a home health nurse before founding New Hope Elder Care. Her heart is for elderly people, and she believes that caring for them in a smaller home in a family setting is "the better way."
