Our Orthopedic and Clinical Research teams had a great time at yesterday’s North Country Seniorama sharing tips and resources to help our community’s seniors keep moving, stay healthy, and live well.

Dr. Pummer brings over 20 years of experience in wound and burn care to our community—along with a deep passion for helping people heal. Originally from Pennsylvania, he and his wife were drawn to Massena not just for the opportunity, but for the people, the pace of life, and the warmth they felt from day one (even in January ❄️).

Dr. Pummer believes in making the “impossible” possible when it comes to wound care, and we’re excited for the expertise, compassion, and heart he brings to every patient he sees. 🩵

While the advisory is in effect, it’s recommended to limit time outdoors and keep windows closed, especially for children, older adults, and those with heart or lung conditions.

Whether it’s a burn, a bug bite, or a bellyache, our Potsdam walk-in and virtual urgent cares are open on the 4th of July—no appointment needed!

Canton Urgent Care will be closed on July 4, and will reopen for normal hours on July 5.

🚨 If you have emergency health care needs, our Emergency Departments at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Gouverneur Hospital, and Massena Hospital remain open daily, 24-hours-a-day.
