FUN FACT: Santa Claus gifted me my first sax when I was 9 after I taught myself to play recorder and read music on the floor of my bedroom from a Disney play-along book I got at Costco.

I would practice my brand new alto on the deck of our apartment into the courtyard for all our lucky neighbors to hear!

Over the years, playing in bands has allowed me to travel to places like Breckenridge, CO ⛷️, Japan 🇯🇵, and Utah for the Olympic Games 🏆.

My love for the bari started in college, where I played in the UofW Wind Ensemble and various small groups, including a funk band called Kissing Potion🕺🏼

I felt called to share this because I was called to pause and play as an act of SELF-CARE. I succumbed to the screams of my inner child in the midst of a full schedule- planning the Equinox Fair, running my business, Momming for 3, and planning a birthday party- and chose to take a literal beat for myself while driving past our local Ted Brown music store.

The baseline you hear is from our first dance on the night of our wedding- “Stand By Me.”
