We had a wonderful time celebrating our January birthdays with cupcakes provided by Shalom Hospice of Tennessee. From singing Happy Birthday to testing everyone’s winter trivia knowledge, the room was full of laughter, smiles, and plenty of yummy treats. Happy birthday to Nancy and Bob—we loved celebrating you both.

🌟 Team Spotlight: Welcome, Shauna! 🌟
We’re excited to introduce Shauna, our new Director of Nursing at Morning Pointe of Powell!

When she’s not caring for residents, Shauna stays busy with her growing family—she and her partner are raising two little ones, a spirited 3-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son. ⚽💙 You’ll also find her on the soccer field once a week, and during the summer months, she’s happiest living poolside.

Shauna’s passion is helping others succeed—whether that’s through better health, encouragement, or simply lending a hand when someone needs direction. Her favorite part of her role? The residents. She truly loves being part of their lives and supporting them each day.

Fun fact: Shauna’s competitive side runs deep—she spent eight years in roller derby (and yes, her knees still remind her of it!).

We’re so grateful to have Shauna’s leadership, compassion, and energy as part of our Powell team. 💙

Our residents in Powell got hands-on creating bird feeders from scratch—hammering, screwing, and gluing each piece together, thanks to supplies from The Home Depot. A few added their own creative touch with paint and jewels, making each feeder uniquely theirs. We can’t wait to see these on display when spring arrives!
