University Players at UMPI

A Note from the Founder:

It's hard to believe it was only April of 2015 that University Players produced our first show, The Big Meal feels like a lifetime ago, but that is only because since then we have staged many more wonderful shows and have grown SO much! I am so incredibly proud of all the productions that have the University Players name stamped on it, and all the diverse shows we have brought to UMPI. In just the year in a half, we have achieved almost all of my dreams for the University Players, which was to stage a Broadway Revue (we've had three), and to produce a student written festival, which we did this past March and presented 8 amazing 10 minute plays. From April 2015 to December 2016 (after Dec 3rd) we have produced 10 shows! With the small (but very dedicated) crew(s) that have passed through University Players, this is a feat that is quite impressive! Lastly for me left to check off my list is to stage a full musical, which I hope to be able to make this a reality one day, not so far away. Once that last box gets checked off, this just means I'll have to create new goals for us to strive for!
