Over time when the body starts to progress based on compensations the body and central nervous system begins to perceive a New Normal which may form both a postural and dynamic deviation. This can cause gait issues and other challenges.

We love to bring awareness to our clients as to where their alignment is off and how they can get back into balance.

Exercise: Asssisted Runners Stretch
1s Photo: Client feels that position 1 is straight. When she came in she had a strong right rotation affecting her gait.

2nd photo: Client begins to rebalance her pelvis based on postural alignment and cueing after a customized sequence was provided

Then strengthened and trained up on pilates reformer. Know your compensations and deviations and make a longer lasting change!

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Reminder to stretch and find places in your back where there is tension. Love using the small bably ladder to address any pelvic disparity and then sequencing the following for the client to be able to articulate the spine for better posture thoracic positioning and abdominal strengthening.

1) Sitting cats to neutral
2) Roll Down half way slowly to feel core
3) Roll down feel core until the entire spine articulates down and then open the chest

The importance of posture and core strength as it relates to injury prevention and pain has never been more front and center. Let’s take a look at where we were to where we are today.

HISTORICAL
In earlier times, manual labor and physical work were more common, which naturally engaged the core muscles and promoted better posture. As societies transitioned to more sedentary lifestyles and desk-bound jobs, the importance of maintaining core strength and posture became more apparent.

TODAY
**Technology**: The rise of technology and sedentary lifestyles has led to an increase in poor posture and weakened core muscles. Prolonged sitting, excessive screen time, and improper ergonomics have contributed to postural imbalances and weakened core muscles in many individuals which contributes to loss of joint range and pain.

RESEARCH AND EDUCATION
- **Research and Education**: Advances in exercise science and biomechanics have provided a deeper understanding of the role of core stability in movement efficiency, injury prevention, and athletic performance. Research has highlighted the benefits of maintaining proper posture and core strength for overall health and fitness.
