Myth: “If you cross your eyes, they will stay that way.”
Eye muscles are designed to move in many directions, and voluntarily crossing them will not cause them to "stick". If eyes appear crossed involuntarily, it is usually due to an underlying medical condition.

March Workplace Wellness Focus: Emotional Health & Stress Management

Healthcare is meaningful work, but it can also be stressful. This month we’re focusing on recognizing and labeling our emotions as a simple way to manage stress.

Instead of just saying “I’m stressed,” we are going to pause and ask what we’re really feeling—overwhelmed, frustrated, tired, or worried. Research shows that naming the emotion helps calm the mind and improves how we respond.

A simple practice: pause, breathe, and name the feeling.

Taking care of our emotional health helps us show up better for our patients and for each other.
