My journey began in 2014 when I came to Texas with absolutely nothing. New wife, new mother with our baby who wasn’t even one yet, and one on the way, my husband and I, a Dallas (The Grove) Native had both just finished serving in the US Navy. We worked HARD (and still working) to create a life for ourselves without a blueprint.

12 years later, I am the Founder and CEO of MilkSpace, LLC created to make life easier for mothers and families by providing adeqaute and accessible lactation space at public spaces across and beyond. I am also the owner of REACH Grants Consulting where I use my federal grants management experience in my role as an Independent Grant Consultant to assist purpose‑driven organizations in preparing impactful grant applications. My work is more than just business to me. I am driven by purpose and service.

I am honored to share that I’ve been nominated for the Woman of Influence Award with DEC Network!

Mother’s Day was just a few days ago, and this nomination feels like a reminder that the work I do for mothers is SEEN, and appreciated.

I came to Dallas in 2014 after serving in the with absolutely nothing no network, no resources, just my little new family, faith, resilience, and a dream to make life better for my family, and also other women and families.

Today, I stand as a resilient mompreneur, a veteran, and the Founder & CEO of MilkSpace, LLC, a company created from my own breastfeeding struggle that I built to ensure mothers are supported with dignity at events across DFW and beyond by having an adequate lactation space in outdoor public spaces.

This award isn’t just about me it’s about every mother who deserves comfort, privacy, and respect, I’m just the vessel doing my part in showing up for women yhe best way I know how.

Winning would help this award will my mission and expand MilkSpace®’s impact across DFW and beyond and further increase me serving families!
