Happy Mother’s Day from one mom to another! 💕

Heart of the Village was founded on the belief that every child deserves exceptional quality care. As a mom, I know how hard it is to trust someone else with your child. Especially when your child has unique needs and requires extra care and support.

I wanted to create a community families could trust. A space where parents are welcomed with encouragement and grace. A place where their child’s strengths are empowered and celebrated, and their hardest moments are met with compassion, patience, and understanding.

To every mom out there, thank you for all that you do. We carry so much, give so much, and somehow still show up every single day with love, strength, and a smile for our kids. You are seen, appreciated, and doing an amazing job. Happy Mother’s Day! 💐

Transitions can be tough, but our therapists are here to help! We use a variety of strategies to support children who struggle with moving from one activity to the next.

We focus on both:

Proactive Strategies: Using visual schedules, timers, and countdowns so your child knows exactly what to expect.
Reactive Strategies: Empowering your child to advocate for themselves! We teach them how to ask for more time with an activity or how to reach a compromise.
