I oftentimes get the parent's that are not sure how me, a pediatric dietitian can help their child with their eating. When it comes to picky eating or in some cases ARFID there are many other things we need to talk about before we even get to the "Nutrition education".
Usually, parents know that their child is missing some vitamin or was able to google the vitamin they are most likely missing. This is usually when we say "our degree is not your Google search" it's a lot more than just ok your missing vitamin d, go take a supplement or try to eat x foods.
If family is ready, then we are incorporating changing into family's routine not just in the child.
Honestly, I get it. I would want to find out as much as I could on google before finding someone. But also make sure you are looking at credible sources.
