The Revitalize H**p Act (HB2775), would restore the definition of H**p in Virginia to what we had previously (until 2023) - and bring the commonwealth back in alignment with the current Federal definition.

This is crucial to restoring the ability of h**p-based businesses in Virginia to compete with surrounding states that have remained in harmony with the 2018 Farm Bill. It would also allow us to provide better support to our customers who depend on our products.

This common sense bill would return the definition of h**p in Virginia to align with the federal definition of h**p that the USDA and our surrounding states follow, these were our guidelines prior to July of 2023. It is a crucial step for restoring Virginia as a competitive and profitable h**p market and would allow us to get back to better serving our customers with the safe and effective products they desire here in the commonwealth. We fully support this bill and hope to see bipartisan efforts to improve the h**p market in 2025!

HB 2775 simply ties the definition of a h**p product in Virginia to federal law as it should be, as all h**p legalization and legislation stems from federal law - the 2018 Farm Bill. As federal law changes it allows Virginia to be in lockstep without having to amend Virginia code.

This is important so businesses can clearly understand the law of the land and not be held to the whims of Virginia government that has played games with the Virginia h**p industry over the past few years. They have constantly created confusion and massive penalties to hamper and destroy the businesses of those that are trying to create good h**p products, while creating jobs and tax revenue for the Commonwealth of Virginia. It’s time to reverse that trend immediately and treat h**p businesses with the respect they deserve.

After receiving some good news this evening regarding the continued growth of our family farm business into new frontiers of this industry, I am taking a minute to be thankful for the journey since our first year growing during the COVID lockdown. There have been so many challenges, including changes in state laws, seasons of drought, learning to navigate the regulations of two states (VA & WVA) and watching many local growers and retailers move on to other endeavors. We are grateful to be here and to be navigating new waters with enthusiasm. Thank you to all of our customers, friends, families, and partners who have been on this wild ride with us! We appreciate each and every one of you. 💚

Time sure flies! Our first year growing was during the pandemic. I will always treasure the time we spent in the field that season when everything felt so out of balance elsewhere.
The first harvest will always be special.

All this rain sent our initial planting over our heads! I can't wait to see the other 500 reach this stage in the coming weeks.

Just a friendly reminder that our family farm grown CBD oil is safe for dogs/cats/rabbits ! This new study confirmed what we have seen since we began in 2019 thanks to our good friends in the Veterinary community who have had hands on experience with cannabinoids and many of our animals friends!

Big news from our friends at the National Animal Supplement Council

A new study has published results from the first-of-its-kind peer-reviewed safety study of cannabidiol products in healthy dogs. In the study, different cannabinoids were well tolerated in healthy male and female dogs when dosed for 90 consecutive days with a 14-day recovery period.

Based on the results of this study, other published studies, and data from extensive post-market surveillance, h**p-derived cannabinoids are well tolerated in healthy dogs at a dose of 5mg/kg of body weight per day and do not pose significant risk to dogs in long-term use.

“These data demonstrate that different cannabidiols are safe for long-term use in healthy dogs when given at the dose studied,” said Bill Bookout NASC President.
