A certificate says you showed up.
Confidence says you can do it when it counts.

Most IV training programs hand you a piece of paper after 4 hours on a rubber arm. You passed. Now go start IVs on real patients with real anxiety and real rolling veins.

VeinCraft doesn't give you a certificate for attendance. You earn it by demonstrating competence under observation. Live sticks. Real anatomy. Instructor coaching you through the hard moments.

One hangs on a wall. The other walks into the room with you.

April 26th. Radiance Community Center. $199.

When the AC fossa fails, where do you go?

Most providers default to the antecubital fossa because it's the biggest, most visible target. But when that vein isn't cooperating — rolling, scarred, blown from prior access — you need a plan B.

Dorsal hand (metacarpal veins): Visible, accessible. Good for short-term access. Avoid in elderly patients.

Forearm (cephalic vein): Runs along the lateral forearm. Often overlooked. Stable, good for longer dwell times.

Forearm (basilic vein): Medial side. Deeper but large caliber. Worth palpating when nothing else presents.

Wrist (radial side): Last resort for peripheral access. Painful for the patient. Only when other sites fail.

Site selection is half the stick. Choose better, stick less.

Meet Tora Gerrick, CNM, NP.

Certified Nurse Midwife. Nurse Practitioner. Clinical Director at VeinCraft Academy.

Tora doesn't teach IV cannulation from a textbook. She teaches it from the bedside, the field, and the delivery room — where vascular access isn't optional and second attempts aren't always possible.

She built our curriculum around the thing most programs ignore: the psychology of the stick. Why your hands shake. Why your heart rate spikes. And how to train your nervous system to respond with precision instead of panic.

April 26th. She's your instructor. 10 seats.

Flash isn't just confirmation you're in the vein. The speed, color, and fill pattern each tell you something different about the vessel you accessed. Here's how to read it.

Master the IV flash technique. Learn to recognize blood return, lower your angle, advance the catheter, and avoid the mistakes that cause post-flash failures.

Your nervous system fires before your clinical brain does.

Heart rate spikes. Hands get clammy. Vision narrows. And now you're supposed to thread a 20-gauge into a rolling vein.

That's not a skill problem. That's a CNS problem.

Before we teach technique at VeinCraft, we teach you how your body responds to pressure. How to recognize the spike. How to breathe through it. How to turn the adrenaline into focus instead of freeze.

Psychology first. Technique second. That's the order that actually works.
