Outraged and at a loss for words.
This took place on March 3, 2026, around 3 a.m.
We arrived at Piedmont Henry Hospital with our doula client while she was in strong, active labor. She was already 8 cm dilated.
The doctor suggested she get a C-section due to baby presenting frank breech, but our client declined. She understood the risks, asked questions and made the informed decision to continue laboring. They continually denied her pain management (for 5 hours) and treated her horribly.
Next thing you know, her support team was being kicked out of the room.
It felt like the strategy was clear: if they could get her alone, without her support team present, she wouldn’t be able to advocate for herself and might feel pressured to agree to the C-section.
In Part 2, you’ll see that we were in fact escorted out by six police officers, and this mama ultimately delivered via C-section.
Experiences like this are not rare or random. They are intentional, and they are heartbreaking.
According to the hospital’s own website, patients are allowed up to three support people. Yet somehow we were told she could only have one — and then suddenly none at all.
After asking her husband to take their daughter home, they then forced the rest of her support team to leave.
We are outraged and sharing this to shed light on what is happening to mamas in some hospitals.
Again, this happened at Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, Georgia.
She did not want to consent to a C-section.
But she was ultimately placed in a situation where that became the outcome.
