Some seasons break you wide open... but they also rebuild you. I’m sharing my own “hurricane season”-the breaking, the becoming, and the becoming again - so you can see the strength in your own storms. Read the full story ➡️

When life knocks you down, how do you rise? This story is about survival, surrender, & transformation—learning to let go, trust, & heal. If you carry more than your heart can hold, discover how to release, rebuild, & step into a new way of being. Healing isn’t about doing more—it’s about let...

I’ve gained weight again, and yeah, it pi**es me off sometimes. Then I remember what this body has actually been through.

January 2025 I got influenza, fainted, and hit my head hard enough to crack it open. Concussion symptoms are still popping up randomly. There are still days the spot hurts to touch.

Before that came a lumpectomy, a rotator cuff injury, a torn ACL, a broken finger, a breast nodule, one right after the other. That kind of accumulation doesn’t just affect the body. It drops you into a season of real depression and anxiety that is hard to pull out of.

What makes that harder is that the very things that help, the morning walks, lifting, eating rhythms and fasting protocols, the simple daily mental health practices, all become harder to access when the body is in crisis. The tools that regulate you are the first things the spiral takes away. That’s not failure. That’s just what life looks like sometimes.

So yes. The weight is there. The body looks different than I wish it did right now.
I’m choosing not to make that mean something it doesn’t.

This weight is not a reflection of my worth, my value, or where I’m headed. It’s evidence of the path I’ve walked.

Every cycle I come back stronger. Every pass I do it a little better. That’s 22 years of learning that the body keeps score and healing asks us to be patient with what it’s carrying. Things rarely align on our timeline, but they do come in perfect timing.

What I can say now that I couldn’t always say. I can witness this from a higher place. See the full arc instead of just the hard moment. Hold my own story with perspective and grace. I didn’t start there. That capacity was earned through every spiral I chose to stay conscious in rather than just survive.

So while I keep nurturing myself back, I’m choosing to cherish the beauty around me. The morning walks. The dog. The desert light. The fact that I’m here and still in it.

That’s enough to fight another day.

If this resonates, like the post and share it with someone who needs permission to stop making their body the enemy. Save this one for the days when you forget.

There was a season where I looked at my calendar and could not find myself in it.
Not dramatically. Just a slow accumulation of commitments that had dressed themselves up as choices. Appoinments booked back to back. Yes...

Your calendar is full of everyone's needs but your own. That automatic yes keeps coming before your body gets consulted. This isn't about better boundaries; it's about checking in with your frequency first. Try the 24-hour yes audit to learn what it actually means to become your own healer.

This is what it looks like when a woman finally lets herself be seen. I have spent most of my life being afraid to be seen.
Not hiding exactly. More like staying just far enough in the background that no one could look too closely. Feeling not enough in a way that made visibility feel dangerous. If you let people really see you, they might confirm what the inner critic has been saying all along.

So you stay small. You stay edited. You stay safe.

The deeper I go in my healing work the more that fear loosens its grip. It doesn’t disappear overnight. It dissolves slowly, layer by layer, session by session, honest moment by honest moment. And somewhere in that process something shifts. The confidence that was always there underneath the fear starts finding its way to the surface.

These photos are that. A woman who has done the work. Who is still doing the work. Who stood in front of a camera and let herself be fully seen, maybe for the first time, and felt something she doesn’t have a better word for than embodied.

This is what healing looks like from the inside out. It doesn’t always look like breathwork and morning walks. Sometimes it looks like standing nearly naked in front of a beautiful stranger to let it be free.

Massive love to .mirandastrange at for holding space for exactly this kind of becoming. If you’ve been thinking about doing something for yourself, trust that instinct.

And if you book with her, ask about adding Reiki at a rare discount. Being seen and being energetically held in the same season is something else entirely.

Comment WISDOM to join Wisdom for Warriors, the free Sunday Soul Letter where we talk honestly about this kind of reclamation every single week.

There’s something nobody tells you when you start healing. It gets worse before it gets better.

That’s not a sign you’re doing it wrong. That’s the pendulum doing exactly what it does.

When we begin moving stored energy, old grief, old patterns that have been living in the body for years, it swings before it settles.

Most people think that swing is failure. They stop right before the integration happens.

We’ve been taught healing should feel like a steady upward climb. Each day a little lighter, a little clearer. So when the opposite happens, when a week of deep inner work leaves us more raw than rested, we decide something must be wrong with us.

Nothing is wrong with you. You’re in the pendulum. That’s not a setback. That’s the work moving.

After 22 years of self-observation and energy work I can tell you with certainty: the moments that feel like falling apart are often the moments the nervous system is finally releasing what it’s been holding. That rawness is data, not damage.

No matter what stage of healing you’re in, peace and beauty can be found within and all around. The magic is in the presence of the moment, even this one.

Healing alone is one thing. Healing inside partnership, friendship, and family is where the real work begins. A raw look at the compromises that keep us small, the inner critic wearing the costume of selflessness, and why radical trust starts with one uncomfortable truth.

Wise Warriors

Life is hard. We all struggle, but there is a way to live happily even through the toughest times and hardest struggles of life. 2016-208 was by far the toughest, busiest, most overwhelming time in my life, but it was also the highest growth years of my life. I learned life lessons and skills that have the power to transform lives and I want to share this with those who find themselves in similar situations, so they may find the tools they need to not only make it past the hard times, but thrive through them.

The Wise Warrior community focuses on personal growth, whole-bodied living (health, presence & mindfulness), and progress towards a joy life with intention on who we want to be.

Here I hope you will find the tools to understand your feelings more deeply, so you can live more fulling in congruence with your authentic joy.

Design a life and business that reflects your true self, your inner vision and deepest desires.
