When I was younger, I never thought twice about having my belly show in my clothes or bathing suits.
Funny enough, this became a subconscious thing I have avoided since having my child 6 years ago.
I don’t think I necessarily felt shame in what I looked like, I just felt uncomfortable being exposed. The more comfy clothes the better.
But yesterday, yesterday I was challenged to practice what I preach about loving ourselves fully, being nice to our selves, accepting ourselves, & speaking our
TRUTH…
I was gifted a swag bag at an amazing Women’s Empowement event that I got to be a part of hosted by and in it had this crop top. I knew I was getting a shirt but had no idea it would be a crop.
As I put it on in the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror, so many things went through my head.
Though my first instinct was to nitpick myself and insecurities did try to break through, I caught myself SMILING at my reflection…
Why?
Because I knew what was happening.
I realized I was being given a chance to tap into my authentic self and do what I do best— be an example as a figure of healing & growth, self love & acceptance, confidence & TRUTH.
I always tell people that I work with that a majority of the time, whatever I say during a session is something I needed to hear for myself. That’s why I wanted to share the little video clip at the end here..
“I dream of a world where we can all look in the mirror and say ‘I love this woman, and I want her to be happy’…One little step at a time’”.
This here is your reminder to love yourself, especially when it feels extra hard… give yourself grace, honor your journey, and speak your truth. Because when you live & speak your truth, what you say and do will manifest. Love & Good Vibes to ALL! 🙏💜😊
Oh & P.S… if you haven’t voted for the Boston Business Awards yet, I would truly be so grateful if you took a moment to vote me, Amanda Marie of Wicked Smaht Wellness for Most Authentic, Best Community Creator, Best Event Planner, & Best Reiki!
